Manhattan Institute’s V.P. Presses Keith Boykin if ‘Objectivity Is a Tool of White Supremacy:’ ‘It Requires a Longer Discussion’

‘I‘m just saying we don‘t... ‘

EXCERPT:

ARM: "You think objectivity is a tool of white supremacy?"
BOYKIN: "I‘m not going to interrupt you. I just want to say you presume things that were not true.
ARM: "Do you believe that objectivity is a tool of white supremacy?"
BOYKIN: "Well, you said we can all agree on something. I‘m just saying we don‘t all agree — "
ARM: "Can we all agree that objectivity is a tool of white supremacy?"
BOYKIN: "It requires a longer discussion that we‘re going to have in the six minutes we have left."
ARM: "So I pose the question to you: Is objectivity — "
BOYKIN: "I don't want to talk about that. I just don‘t want you to make assumptions — "
ARM: "But you interrupted me to make that point."
BOYKIN: "Because you made an assumption about me that‘s not true. So just continue on."
