Sen. Ron Johnson: Democrats Are ‘So Obnoxiously Obstructionist’ Republicans Must Expand Reconciliation

JOHNSON: “From my standpoint I support the full save America act and I’ll do everything I can to pass as much of it as we possibly can using whatever tools we need. Again Democrats are being so obstructionist. Remember we didn’t have last year, we didn’t have the votes in our conference to end the 60 vote threshold on nominations until Democrats were so obnoxiously obstructionist and President Trump would not be able to staff his administration. I understand why my colleagues would like to preserve the filibuster. If Democrats get control of the block with their destructive legislation, the fact of the matter is when Democrats get control they will end the filibuster. I’m not sure where this all goes and we have reconciliation first. We are expanding reconciliation as well. There’s not much left of the filibuster and there’s no threshold nominations anymore."
