Andrew Weissmann: Blanche Has Been Rebuked by Judges of ‘All Political Persuasions’

WEISSMANN: “Well, I don’t know that he’s forgotten about it. And it may be like, as you mentioned, like Rudy Giuliani, where it comes back and hurts him. We are part of a profession and we do self regulate, and we have seen it in action. I know for many people listening to it, that is, you know, small recompense that is not, you know, absolute justice, but it is something that judges can do to make sure that lawyers adhere to their oaths of office. As somebody who served in the Department of Justice, I have to say, it is particularly disappointing as in the right term, it’s really soul crushing because you know that Todd Blanche knows better. And for whatever reason, whether it’s power or fame, money, glory, whatever reason, he has been found over and over again by federal judges of all political persuasions appointed by all sorts of presidents, have found his conduct to be in bad faith."
