Noah Rothman: Trump Spoke About the SAVE Act ‘As Though It’s Law’

‘It‘s not law‘

RUSH EXCERPT:

ROTHMAN: “It seems to me there are two separate issues here. You‘ve raised one, the SAVE Act and Markwayne Mullin warnings. We‘ll get to that in a second. The first issue is what the president alleged last night. And if you listen to his speech, he didn‘t allege election altering fraud. He never said that. What he said was that China is engaged in activities that undermine the integrity of our election, foreign election interference. That‘s not hard to believe. In 2017, the equifax hack China accessed 150 45 million Social Security numbers. Joe Biden to to xi‘s face in 2023, said no election interference. Apparently that didn‘t take because Tony Blinken, subsequently in 2024, said, we‘ve seen indications of influence and interference, and that‘s unacceptable to us. The second is Markwayne Mullin trying to muscle in the SAVE Act here, and that was what the president‘s approach was last night, where he said, we need to pass the SAVE Act, he said SAVE Act program as though it‘s law. It‘s not law."
