GOP Whatley Slams Roy Cooper Amid Senate Race: When Our Cities Were Burning Down in 2020 with BLM and Antifa Riots, He Marched with Them

‘We’re here today to talk about his record on crime’

EXCERPT:

WHATLEY: “But we’re here today to talk about his record on crime and talk about what that man did as governor over the course of eight years. This is a guy, when our cities were burning down in 2020 with BLM and Antifa riots all across the country, did he call in the National Guard to put down those riots? No. He took off his Covid mask, he raised his fist, and he marched with them. This is a guy who on three different occasions, when the legislature passed law, or passed bills to require sheriffs to honor ICE detainers, did he sign them and get the illegal alien criminals out of North Carolina? No. He vetoed that legislation.”
