BlackRock’s Larry Fink: ‘I Think the Trump Accounts Are Spectacular Opportunity’ for Young People and Their Parents

‘If you invested in 2010, and I don’t think 2010 is that long ago, I mean, it seems, you know, for me, a couple of days ago, but the S&P is up 6X’

EXCERPT:

FINK: “I think the Trump accounts are a spectacular opportunity to get young people and their families to start focusing on the long-term opportunities to be investing. I mean, just let's step back for a second. If you invested in 2010, and I don't think 2010 is that long ago, I mean, it seems, you know, for me, a couple of days ago, but the S&P is up 6X. OK, put it into perspective in 2010, BlackRock only had $3 trillion in assets. Now we're 15.3. I mean, from every corridor, from everything I look at, if we could get more and more people focusing on the long-term, if we could get more countries focusing on helping young people invest, creating their own accounts for young people, over time they're going to be far better off than in a bank account.”
