DSA Leader Ashik Siddique: ‘The Basic Necessities of Life Should Be Run as Public Goods, and Not for Corporate Profits’

SIDDIQUE: "We think the basic necessities of life should be run as public goods and not for corporate profits, and that is really resonating. People want fighters. People want fighters against the rise of fascism in this country, and that’s not what what the promise of America is that most Americans want. So we're all over the country, our members of DSA are talking about this with our neighbors and we're united by a commitment to organizing around the values, politics and policies that resonate with working class people, and that's what we're doing. We're showing that class politics is what’s always been the case in the United States, but it’s been for the ruling class and their politics, but we want a working class politics for everybody."
