Sen. Booker: Trump Has ‘Fallen Like a Stone’ in New Jersey; ‘He’s Widely Unpopular’
EXCERPT:
BOOKER: Yeah, it’s — he’s fallen like a stone in my state in particular because he’s jacking up everybody’s prices. His chaotic tariffs have ruined businesses owned by Republicans and Democrats in my state. And he’s widely unpopular. This is a failed president. And that’s why we’re going to pick up one or two Congress seats. Because, look, we are a very middle-of-the-road state. We’ve had Republican governors, as you know, Democratic governors. New Jersey is for New Jersey. And this is a president who’s really betrayed our state. If you look for dollar for dollar, what he’s doing, he’s hurting our state, from undermining our infrastructure projects to hurting our local police departments. And that’s why, again, this partisan language often doesn’t belie the truth of who we are as a nation.”
