BAKER: "There is a sense, at least among some people around Trump, that he feels that way, sure. And doesn’t mean he won’t at some point decide that he wants to cut him loose. At this point, though, it’s kind of a problem for him. If he wants to get rid of senior people, as confirmed by the Senate, because he’s not, he doesn’t have that much time left before the election, and there’s a substantial chance that he doesn’t control the Senate after the midterm at this point. So I think if you want to make a change in high levels like the FBI and you want to get somebody Senate confirmed in there, you’re running out of time. Now, he may not care about having somebody in there. Senate confirmed he may find a way to get his own preferred acting person in there. Which doesn’t matter as much to him. But it is a it is a factor to think about."
