Sec. McMahon: Schools Will Be in Jeopardy of Losing Federal Funding If They Don’t Take Action Against Teachers Engaged in Sexual Abuse
RUSH EXCERPT:
McMAHON: "one of the letters that i sent, excuse me, yesterday was about schools that are not taking action against teachers that have sexual misconduct charges against them. uh... one stat that just astounded me was that 1 out of 10 school students across the country have some sort of sexual misconduct against them treated perpetrated on them by teachers or school staffs and what happens no action is taken except that these teachers through support of unions are moved to other schools we’re launching ocr investigations if they don’t take actions against teachers who are in to support those teachers by returning more education so that teachers are allowed to teach but certainly those teachers have these kinds of charges brought against them or issues raised need to be removed not just pass on if you take that teacher and put them in another school there many things are in conflict our kids are suffering they’re not learning to read and that’s what we trying to make right"
