Bobby Ghosh: Intelligence Agencies Must Focus on ‘Doing the Right Thing for the American Nation’ Rather Than ‘the White House’

‘We can’t afford for them to be second guessing themselves‘

RUSH EXCERPT:

GHOSH: “Well, this is very critical. This is a time when the United States is at war with with one country. We are in we’re in conflict with others. We there’s a. the stakes now for the United States could not be higher. This is the moment when we need our intelligence services. And. There are several different intelligence services, but the CIA in particular, to be completely focused on the work at hand. And we need our professional intelligence operatives to feel that the state. The government has their back. What this survey tells us is that they don’t feel that. And we can’t afford at this point, for the people who are at the cutting edge of the information wars with Russia, with Iran, with China. We can’t afford for them to be second guessing themselves, to be trying to take, to be trying to put themselves in a position where they have to wonder whether speaking the truth will get them in trouble with the White House, whether they should be focusing on doing their jobs, doing the right thing for the American nation and for the American people, or whether they should be worried about doing the right thing for the White House. We can’t afford this. There’s never a good time for the intelligence services to be second guessing themselves in this way, but this is a particularly bad time. This is a country, as I said at the top. This is a country at war. It’s been at war for months and months and months. Now. Tens of billions of dollars have been spent on this war. We cannot afford our intelligence services to be put in this place where they’re not sure of themselves. And this weakens America’s war effort."
