Basil Smikle: President Donald Trump Does Not Support the Housing Bill Because ‘He Didn’t Offer It’
RUSH EXCERPT:
SMIKLE: “He doesn’t see it that way. And owing to a colleague that I spoke with earlier about this, as she said, and it’s absolutely right, he didn’t offer it. So he doesn’t care about it. Right. That’s one that’s that’s that’s one way to look at it. And the other way is that this doesn’t help him. And he doesn’t think it doesn’t help him in anything in any particular way. What he thinks helps him is suppressing votes against against him and against the Republicans or against Democrats that would unseat potentially Republicans and support policies that are contrary to things that he cares about. And let me speak about the housing bill in and of itself, because it is important. It’s a bipartisan bill because on the one hand, it increases affordable affordability options."
