GARCIA: “Well, I think my message is the same message that I — that I gave to the director that, you know, this is — this is a grieving family. It could happen to any of us, especially if we have, you know — you know, I’m [inaudible]. They may not stop me, but they probably might stop some of my friends. You know, this is about making sure that the civil rights protected, human rights are protected, constitutional rights are protected in this country, because it is today here in our country — I mean, in our city, but it could be any other city. And we saw it happening in Minneapolis. We saw it happen in Chicago — in terms of ICE presence, I’m sorry. So, we have learned some lessons. Apparently, ICE has learned nothing.”
