Troy Jackson on Why He Supported Platner for So Long: ‘I Haven’t Ever Been on Reddit’
EXCERPT:
JACKSON: “Well, the Nazi tattoo and the Reddit posts, I mean, I didn’t know — I mean, I haven’t ever been on Reddit, but, you know, when people talked about those things and then he turned around and said, you know, that these were times whenever they were dark for him and, you know, he’d grown and all this stuff. I mean, they were, you know, a different time period for him. And I understood, you know, that people can change. But, you know, I think the biggest thing about this was the issues that Graham was talking about and bringing people out on things like Medicare for All and health insurance, you know, prescription drugs, workers’ rights, these are the things that, you know, we’ve all believed in and wanted huge change in. And certainly, the people here in Maine knew, you know, those earlier things.”
