FNC’s Gagliano: The Defense Argued That TPUSA Details on Kirk’s Views ‘Could Not Be Entered’ Unless You Establish Robinson’s Mind-Set at the Time of Murder
EXCERPT:
GAGLIANO: “Yeah. And, Trace, like we talked about last night, you know, the defense is playing the long game here. Everything related to procedure and rules of evidence, what can be presented and considered at trial, and obviously, the bar is much lower in a preliminary hearing, but they argued this afternoon quite long, at length, about the fact that the TPUSA mission and details about the culture and Christian faith and Charlie’s political views, which were contained in this book, if you will. And they argued that could not be entered until or unless you could establish up front what Tyler Robinson’s mindset was at the time of this murder. So, it’s interesting, the procedural part of this, they’re going to be working through this, and when this does go to trial, Trace, that’s going to be front and center and drag this trial out for quite some time.”
