Mike Lawler Speaks out after His Argument with Congressman Rep. Raskin

LAWLER: "It's very simple. We had to listen to their 10-minute diatribes, Pramila Jayapal and Jamie Raskin, in which they dismissed my constituents. They said, 'We’re sorry for your loss, but we shouldn’t even be having this hearing.' Their comments were outrageous. They were disgraceful. And I didn’t respond to. I went into my introduction. The fact that they decided multiple times to try and to cut me off because they didn’t like what I meant to say is ridiculous. It’s ridiculous. To fully appreciate and understand why Jessica Gorman is here, you actually have to understand what happened to their daughter. And the reality is that they didn’t want to hear it. They didn’t want to hear what happened to Sheridan Gorman or that their policies that they support contributed to her death. That’s a fundamental fact. Their behavior was outrageous, and I, for one, am not going to sit there and take their sh*t. So, it is what it is. Jamie Raskin is a pathetic disgrace. He’s sitting here saying that he cares about their deaths. No, he doesn't.”
