Jennifer Palmieri: President Trump Has ‘Broken the Trust’ of Many Voters

PALMIERI: “I don’t feel I don’t think that he can turn it around. I mean, particularly like as we’re heading into the summer and there’s more likely to have gas prices, you know, which are all problematic in the summer, continue to go up, continue to be a problem. Costs continue to be a problem. But I think that it feels like and this is good news for Democrats, but not long-term good news for Democrats. I think what’s happened is he has broken the trust that a lot of these voters have had for him. So he had there’s an underlying, very deep relationship that President Trump has with his supporters. But when he is not just not delivering, but also not. We talked about earlier, just dismissing people’s concerns. And just like, I guess maybe he doesn’t actually get what my life is like. So that’s just more that’s frustration. That’s disappointment. That’s going to that’s resentment. That’s anger. Okay, that is bad. Very bad news for Republicans. I think it’s bad news in the midterms."
