Sen. Jacky Rosen on $1B for W.H. Ballroom: ‘Ridiculous,’ Billionaires Are Going to Eat on Gold Plates When People Can’t Even Put Gas in Their Car?

‘Buy their groceries or pay their rent?’

EXCERPT:

ROSEN: “Well, I’ll just tell you this, $1 billion for a ballroom of gold, billionaires are going to eat on gold plates when people can’t even put gas in their car or buy their groceries or pay their rent. It’s ridiculous. We didn’t need a ballroom. Trump destroyed history in the East Wing and he did it again, like everything else. He doesn’t care about the rules, he doesn’t care about a constitution or authorities. And then the 1. — I think it’s $1.776 billion, almost nearly $1.8 billion of a slush fund, no oversight for the president to decide basically who he’s going to give away billions of dollars of the taxpayer money to, number one. Oh, and by the way, he also tucked in there that himself and his family will be, for the rest of eternity, never be allowed to their taxes be audited, or so many other things. And so, this is absolutely ridiculous.”
