WaPo’s Carine Hajjar: ‘You Don’t Solve the Iran Problem Until You Solve the Regime’

HAJJAR: “Unless they have to be, but I think the president really needs to reconsider this notion of a deal, that you’re going to get a fair deal out of them. The pressure is working because, to your points, there could be some type of critical moment here where you have an opposition and uprising, but ultimately, you don’t solve the Iran problem until you solve the regime. The regime is the Iran problem. The Iranian people deserve better. And I think whatever the president can do to try to, you know, have some change, that would be great, but a deal is not the answer with these people.”
