Ro Khanna: Trump Took the ‘Global Elite’ to China to Have Factories That’d ‘Undercut’ American Labor, Cut More Offshore Deals

KHANNA: "Chris, you nailed it. I mean, you actually took Donald Trump seriously. Like, the two things that he campaigned on since 2016 is , 'We shouldn’t have these foreign wars, I’m going to be the guy who’s not going to get into militarism.' And then he said, 'Look, they sold you out. Wall Street sold you out. Silicon Valley tech billionaires sold you out. They sold you out to China. They let China into the World Trade Organization. There was the China shock, it decimated western Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan. I’m going to be the guy who actually stands up to China, rebalances the economy.' And then he asks the very global elite he railed against to come with him, to beg China to put $1 trillion into America and have factories that are going to undercut American labor here. It’s worse than even offshoring jobs. And to cut more deals to offshore, I mean, you can’t write it. It’s so tragic. It’s like, my heart bleeds for the American worker who just got duped by this guy."
