Keith Kellogg: I’m Convinced We’ve Got Enough of the Munitions Stockpile to Get the Job Done in Iran
EXCERPT:
KELLOGG: “Well, I mean, as a foreign military guy, you always say that, we never have enough. We never need — we need more. They’ve got enough to prosecute this war. I’m not — I’m convinced about that. And oh, by the way, even if it wasn’t true, why would you tell the enemy that? You wouldn’t do that at all. If I was down in my last round of ammunition, I wouldn’t scream, ‘oh my God, oh my God. What am I going to do? I’m out of ammunition.’ You don’t do that. And I think we’re pretty well prepared for anything that follows. Can we ramp up the defense industry? Of course we can. Have they been slow on the uptake? Sure, but they’ll get it done and they’ll get it completed. But I’m with the Secretary of War, I think we’re going to be fine with what we’ve got in our position, in our munitions stockpiles, and Brad Cooper saying the same thing. We’ve got what we need to get this job done and I think we’re prosecuting pretty well. I think the president’s got a great team, he’s doing a great job and I think we’ll just finish the job, which I think we need to do.”
