Epstein Victim Describes How DoJ Repeatedly Violated Law in Releasing Victims’ Identities
EXCERPT:
UNKNOWN FEMALE: “So, I’m just going to add on to Dani’s point about process and be a little more specific. So, what transpired in advance of the files being released were a number of the lawyers who are in this room provided DoJ with lists of names. I think one lawyer provided about 300 names and those names got released in the first batch — many of those names got released in the first batch of files when they were dumped. The lawyer went back and said these names need to be redacted. I’m just going to use Danny’s as an example — I hope that’s OK, Dani. So, her lawyer went back and said redact Dani Bensky’s name. The second time the files were released the DoJ had not just the list of the names that the lawyers requested to be redacted, but also correspondence that said Dani’s name was released in the first batch and a request to redact. Her name then appeared in the second batch. Another correspondence went to DoJ about Dani specifically and then there was a third batch of documents. In the third batch of documents I think Dani’s name, her address, a picture of her dog. You name it, it was in the third batch.”
