James Comey When Asked About His Defense on the ‘86 47’ Seashells: ‘I’m Not Going to Talk About That’

‘If you’re participating in a criminal case, you don’t talk about it outside of court’

EXCERPT:

WALLACE: “And what did you actually do? What is your defense?”

COMEY: “I’m not going to talk about that because I, as I’ve said many times, I believe in the independent federal judiciary, and the court rules require that if you’re participating in a criminal case, you don’t talk about it outside of court. And so, we’ll have a lot to say in the courtroom, but I want to respect the rules and the court.”
