KRAUSHAAR: “Yeah, look, it’s easy politics on both sides to campaign against the rich, but when you look at the results from the 2024 elections, who was Kamala Harris’ base? Her main base of support was actually the wealthiest Americans, it’s actually a shift from recent elections. And who are backing the socialist candidates running on the far left in a lot of these primaries? Their base of support is generally from the most wealthiest constituents and precincts in the country. So there’s a paradox there. AOC's -- you look at her donors, a lot of multimillionaires and big money supporters. So, yeah, there is sort of this millionaire-versus-billionaire dynamic, but the Democratic Party has become more a party of the wealthy over the last decade and that’s made it harder for these critiques against the wealthy and the affluent to really stick. They actually are proposing a lot of cultural policies that are out of touch with working class Americans that's made it harder for them to win over the average Americans.”
