Ford Jr. Slams Trump Amid Va. Redistricting: I Was Struck by His Post Saying It’s a Huge Win for Republicans, Politicians Now Want to Pick the Voters

FORD Jr.: "They are.  good to be with you.  thanks for having me on.  I think a couple things this  arms race in redistricting.  is a sad side show to the fact  that so many people in  politics.  particularly Washington aren’t  dealing with any of the issues  that people really care about.  I was struck by president  Trump’s Truth Social where he  said this is a huge win for  Republicans.  everything in politics need to  be a huge win for either party.  especially when it comes to  voters.  we live in anry now where  politicians want to pick the  voters.  when we really should be living  in anry always where voters  pick the politicians.  I’m saddened by today’s  matters.  right I think the Democrats  were wrong.  and I think Democrats probably  had to respond to Republicans  who decided that because the  narrow presidented Trump that  is decided because of the  narrow margin in the house.  he wanted to create an  advantage for himself by  drawing more districts.  that’s not what you do.  you doet every 10 years and  you do a census every 10 years  in your state and what you’re  really voting for.  0-0.  with the zero at the end is  that you’ve had population  growth.  meaning your state did great  things in your commonwealth.  produce greater education  outcomes.  greater economic outcomes.  greater business outcomes.  but now all you have to odo is  have your party be in charge.  at that time and that’s sad for  the country I think."
