LAWLER: “These are the problems when you look at New York, when you look at Chicago, when you look at Los Angeles or any of these major metro cities, Minneapolis, where feckless, inept, awful politicians like JB Pritzker or Brandon Johnson embrace these disastrous sanctuary policies, cashless bail policies that do not hold criminals accountable. And as a result, an innocent young girl is brutally murdered, and this family has to endure this tragedy for the rest of their lives. As their representative, I will stand alongside them and fight tooth and nail to end these sanctuary policies, to end the disastrous cashless bail policies that put criminals back out onto the streets only to reoffend. This girl should still be alive. Sheridan Gorman should still be alive today.”
