Don Lemon on Interviewing Jasmine Crockett, Keith Edwards: ‘I’m a Journalist ... I Don’t Need to Agree with People’

LEMON: "So people have been reaching out to me about an interview I did with Keith Edwards. Okay, couple things. Let me just say, first of all, I'm gonna address the Jasmine Crockett thing up front. I just saw Jasmine Crockett last week, she appeared at a show with me, you guys, I don’t play with Jasmine Crockett. Number two, I'm a journalist, I’m supposed to interview people. That’s my job as a journalist. I’ve interviewed Donald Trump. I'm sure you don't agree with him. A lot of people don’t. I had Candace Owens on. I'm sure you don’t agree with her. That’s what I do as a journalist. I don’t have to agree with the people. And as far as me not needing to platform Keith Edwards, Keith Edwards platform on YouTube, which is where it ran, is exactly the same as mine, so he’s not getting any extra followers from me. So it's not a matter of platforming him. Also, as far as a social media thing, I'm not on social media that way, I do have a team that helps me, but I’m not reading everybody’s comments. I don’t know what Keith Edwards is posting about anybody 'cause I’m just not — I can't do it, it's too toxic to go on Twitter and all those platforms.”
