Velshi: ‘There Are Going To Be Real Efforts to Stop You from Being Able to Vote’

VELSHI: "Well, two things. One is very practical, and that is, there are going to be real efforts to stop you from being able to vote. At the moment, though, it’s not protected by the law. Someone can just be pulled out of a voting line and saying, 'Show us your passport.' And eight hours later, when you get your passport, you won’t have voted. So vote — normally we tell people 'Vote in elections.' This time protect your vote, have your passport, have your birth certificate and vote early. But right now it’s just being in the community of the people who you otherwise don’t know are also thinking it’s hopeless. If you can’t be at that rally, make sandwiches for people who do protest. Go out there and support a candidate. Be a candidate yourself.”
