FNC’s Kilmeade Battles Dem Rep. Ro Khanna on DHS Funding: ‘You Can’t Pick and Choose What You Fund’
EXCERPT:
KHANNA: "Well, Brian, first of all, you know I have gone across the aisle, I worked with Thomas Massie to pass the Epstein file release, I worked with people on the Republican side to stop this war that's driving gas and food prices up. But here's the point where we should agree: Let’s fund TSA, let's fund the Border Patrol. We disagree on ICE. ICE already has — "
KILMEADE: "No, just fund it. You can’t pick and choose what you fund. You don’t want Republicans to decide what should be funded in the State Department and what shouldn’t be. So when it comes to funding — "
KHANNA: "Why not get the compromise?"
KILMEADE: "But you already got it. You got four things. You got four things."
KHANNA: "No, the problem is they already had $75 billion in additional funding for ICE, and the reality is Americans were targeted and raided. What happened in Minneapolis was outrageous, and it's going — it's raids with violations of human rights. So we just have a philosophical difference. I think ICE needs to go back under Justice Department, like it was — "
KILMEADE: "But that is a different conversation."
