PADILLA: "You know, when people — we say he’s trying to be an authoritarian. People think it’s an exaggeration. But when you stop and think about it, step by step by step, he's gone after — I mean, he’s brought Congress to its knees because it's the Republican majority and they're just doing whatever he wants. He's going after the judiciary. He’s going after media organizations and reporters. He’s gone after law firms. He's attacked colleges and universities, like, it’s all the typical things that authoritarian governments in other parts of the world over the course of history had done. It's almost like a playbook."
