Capehart: I Wish Susie Wiles Would Pull Pres. Trump Aside and Tell Him What to Do to Lower the Temperature

CAPEHART: “America would be in a better place right now if it had a president who was willing to be a part of the solution, a part of the calming, a part of the moving us away from the edge that we’re hanging off of, and going back to what a president — what we always used to view the president as, someone who was an exemplar of our better selves, of who we like to think of ourselves as a nation and as a people. And right now we do not have that, in my opinion, in President Trump. And instead of the chief of staff talking to the Secret Service about what happened on Saturday night, not instead, in addition to talking to the Secret Service, I really wish he would pull the president aside, because that is her job, to have the tough conversations with him and say, Mr. President, here is what you can do. Here is what we can do as an administration to lower the temperature.”
