Ali Vitali on Lawmakers’ Reaction at WHCD Insident: Everyone Had the Same Look of ‘Sheer Shock’

VITALI: “Yeah, several of them are speaking out on social media. I saw congressman Mike Lawler in the room of New York. He was there with his wife. He’s also my home district where I grew up, lawmaker there. And so we know each other well. And I think everyone had the same look on their face of just sheer shock and surprise that this is something that all of us just lived through together in one of the biggest ballrooms in Washington, a place that many of us have frequented. Time and again, lawler actually tweeted something about how shocking this was, and made the conclusion that being there with his wife, who was his also his guest that evening, that being there with with her also made it that much more scary for him. And that this is not something that we can say is part and parcel to just doing business in Washington. You know, another lawmaker that I saw there was Brian Fitzpatrick at one point from Pennsylvania. At one point, all of us were still under the table, and some of us were filming with our phones, but so was he."
