Gregg Jarrett Slams Dems: They Routinely Weaponize Impeachment for Purely Policy Disputes Because They Despise Trump

JARRETT: "I don’t think so. Because we have seen, Lawrence, this low-budget movie before. Right? It is a pattern of constitutional abuse by Democrats who are determined to devalue and debase the meaning of impeachment. Instead of high crimes and misdemeanors, is the framers laid out, such as violations of law, breaches of trust, corruption, they routinely and weaponize impeachment for purely policy disputes. That’s what elections are for. Democrats don’t want to wait for elections because they despise Donald Trump, they hate what he stands for, they are obsessed with anger and revenge, not fidelity to the Constitution. And as a consequence, whatever Donald Trump does is, in their minds, and impeachable offence. If he coughs or sneezes, that is impeachment. Democrats don’t care that they are contorting history and obliterating precedents in the Constitution itself. They do it because they can, whenever they gain a majority, even though they know that they are bastardizing a process that is only for the most extreme circumstances. And beyond that it is a fool’s errand. Because removal requires two-thirds vote in the Senate and not a single Republican there, has called for impeachment."
