Man Accused of Attacking Ilhan Omar Changes Plea to ‘Guilty’
‘He has now changed his plea to guilty in some sort of settlement agreement’
TRANSCRIPT:
REPORTER: “A plea change for the man accused of attacking Representative Ilhan Omar. He now says he did it. You'll remember this incident when the representative hosted a town hall. This was in Minneapolis last January, this past January. While she was speaking, prosecutors say Anthony Kazmierczak jumped up and sprayed her with apple cider vinegar, which you see here. Charges say Kazmierczak told an associate someone should kill Omar. He has now changed his plea to guilty in some sort of settlement agreement. He was facing federal and state charges for assault. A change of plea hearing is set for next month.”
