BENSON: “Well, certainly on the left, I think there is this strain of Islamism and hardcore leftism that has merged. And I think a lot of people are watching success politically in places like New York City and saying, OK, maybe this is something we've got to think about if that means embracing a guy or playing at least footsie with a guy who said that Hamas is a thousand times better than Israel. And when asked about it, confirmed that's his actual view. The butchers and savages of Hamas, a thousand times better than Israel. That's his position. And he's being feeded in a lot of these places. So it's a pretty dark trend, I would say, in Democrat politics and does not speak well of our overall direction as a country.”
