Keith Kellogg: I Don’t Trust the IRGC at All, ‘I Would Keep My Foot on Their Throat Until They Quit’
EXCERPT:
KELLOGG: “Look, when you look at the Iranians right now, the negotiators like Araghchi, their foreign minister, he is a Revolutionary Guards guy: When you look at the speaker of the parliament, he's a Revolutionary Guards guy. The Revolutionary Guards and their army are two distinctly separate things. The Revolutionary Guards have got the power. That's who’s really being hurt right now. And they are not going to change their colors. They are going to keep supporting the supreme leader. They’re going to keep focusing on the United States of America, and I do not trust them. I would keep my foot on their throat until they quit or cry uncle, whatever you want to call it. I know we can give them more time. When you say more time, I mean more time for them to finish the job and go home. I just do not trust them at all. Remember, Reagan said, 'Trust, but verify' to Gorbachev. I do not trust them.”
