SARIN: “You definitely should expect to see higher inflation numbers going forward. It’s actually kind of difficult to disentangle any one inflation print with respect to what’s showing up in the data, because as you heard in that sort of intro, there have been a lot of forces in this Trump economy that are pushing in the direction of higher inflation. We know that’s the case with respect to these tariffs, which are levied at levels we haven’t seen in the last century that were relatively slow over the course of the last year to start to show up in the inflation data, but definitely were and now really seem to be, particularly with durables here in a really sustained and significant way. But this is the first inflation print that is giving us a sense of what this conflict means for prices. And we know that it means prices are going up and particularly energy prices, which was this like one saving grace in this trumpian economy. We’re actually there had been some price relief over the first year of this administration. We’ve seen prices skyrocket by 11% in just one month. That is the biggest”
