YATES: “Well, four weeks seems long when we consider new cycles and diplomatic back and forth, but in conducting a major military operation, this is relatively swift. To me, it says that President Trump clearly is communicating with some people in Iran. We don’t have the luxury of knowing, and probably if they were known, their lives would be in jeopardy. But he’s been very, very clear from the outset that he seeks to make this a shorter-term operation, at least in terms of major military operations.”
