LAWLER: “If Democrats are serious about this, then start following the law in the sanctuary jurisdictions, cooperate with federal immigration officials when it comes to honoring detainers, and a lot of this will stop. And we won't have this concern. But the fact is, the Department of Homeland Security, specifically ICE, is funded through 2029. So this whole political stunt that they have engaged in is not actually changing anything. And in fact, it is making us less safe.”
