Jon Tester Aks Why Attack Iran ‘Now?’ ‘It Might Have to Do Something’ with the Economy or the Epstein Files
EXCERPT:
TESTER: “I mean, people have been talking about doing something with Iran for 47 years. You know, why now? Why is this when we’re in negotiations, everybody says negotiations are doing well? Why? And that’s — you know, I could ask all of you, you'd probably say, well, it might have something to do with the economy, might have something to do with the Epstein files, might have something to do with something else, because there’s a lot of stuff that could divert people if you get into a war. But the bottom line is, I think Iran is one hell of an anvil. And it’s not that Iran was a good actor. It wasn’t, hasn’t been a good actor for nearly five decades. But the bottom line is, is people are asking the same questions you asked, Luke. Why? Why now? Why is this so important? And then apply it back to what’s going on in the economy, apply it back to what’s went on these tariffs, apply it back to what’s going on in health care in this country. And I don’t know, I’d hate to be a Republican this cycle. I’ll tell you that."
