PRESSLEY: "Yeah, well, goodbye and good riddance to Secretary Noem. However, the terror campaign of this administration is not limited to one person. And ICE cannot be abolished — I mean, it cannot be reformed, and it still needs to be defunded and abolished. So, goodbye, good riddance to her, but work remains to be done to stop the brutality, the inhumanity, the lawlessness of ICE. I have a constituent, a Haitian migrant who just died in ICE custody simply because of an infected tooth. And there are so many people in ICE detention facilities that are experiencing medical neglect. So it’s not only the harm, the terror, the brutality, the murder that we’re seeing take place in broad daylight in our communities, it’s also what continues to happen behind the walls of these ICE detention facilities. It cannot be reformed and it needs to be defunded and abolished. And I’ve been saying that since 2018, when I first ran for Congress."
