Ret. Gen. Dana Pittard on Iran: To Eliminate Their Ballistic Missile Threat, Can You Completely Do That by Air? ‘No’

‘The idea of a small contingent of U.S. troops going to Iran is ridiculous’

RUSH EXCERPT:
PITTARD: "It’s a very slippery slope, and it comes because we have operations but no real published end state. What what is what is success look like? At first it looked like success was the end of Iranian nuclear weapons capability reducing or eliminating their ballistic missile threat, getting rid of their navy and not letting Iran be a threat to its neighbors. That’s what it looked like. Can you completely do that by from the air? No. So that’s that’s part of the issue was was a real understanding of when you open that bottle cold war, what it takes to win and having the the in-state with the objectives. President Trump has now said unconditional surrender. Well, the Iranians aren’t going to surrender. We saw that in 1980 when Iraq attacked them and they were very successful. Iraq was but Iran said, well, we’re not capitulating. And they fought for eight more years, and a million people between both sides died. Now, the idea of a small contingent of U.S. troops going to Iran is ridiculous."
