Marc Thiessen Lays out ‘Multiple Levels of Success’ in Iran Attack: ‘Just Eliminating to Project Force Is a Huge Success’
EXCERPT:
THIESSEN: “It’s the biggest self-own I’ve ever seen in a time of war. And look, their capability of doing that is going to go down dramatically with every passing day, as we take out more and more of their capabilities. And, you know, a lot of the Democrats are saying, well, what’s — you know, what is Trump’s plan? What’s his definition of success? Well, there’s multiple levels of success. One level of success is they’re going to destroy Iran’s capability to do what they’re doing, to project force outside of their borders. I think the chance of that success is pretty near 100 percent. Next level of success is the regime falls and there’s some replacement regime that is subservient to the United States, like Venezuela. Pretty high level chance of that succeeding. And then a third level of success would be if the Iranian people take Donald Trump’s offer and rise up and overthrow their government and install it, and we replace an enemy with a democratic ally in Iran. That’s still in the realm of possibility, but even level one, just eliminating their ability to project force, that would be a huge success and transform the Middle East.”
