Susan Page on the Iran War: It Reflects European Nervousness on What They See as a Lack of Planning

‘Not that they want to defend the regime in Tehran, but they have some questions about the strategy’

EXCERPT:

PAGE: “It sounds as though the president continues to see an extended military campaign. He said before it would last four or five weeks. And you heard the German chancellor mention the effect on oil prices. We're seeing a surge in oil prices already. And also the need for a conversation about the day after, that is, the day after the military action has ended, what happens in Tehran? Who is in charge? And I think that reflects European nervousness about what they see as a lack of foresight and planning with this military operation.”
