EXCERPT:
CORRIGAN (voice-over): "86 year-old Mervin Raudabaugh has farmed for 70 years, with around 50 of it coming on his Silver Spring Township properties. Last year, Raudabaugh was approached by developers of data centers to sell his 261 acres for $60,000 an acre, totaling more than $15 million."
CORRIGAN: "And what did you say to them?"
RAUDABAUGH: "I said no, I was not interested in destroying my farms. That was the bottom run. It really wasn’t so much the economic end of it. I just didn't want to see these two farms destroyed."
CORRIGAN (voice-over): "Raudabaugh instead sold developing rights to his farm in December for just under $2 million to the Lancaster Farmland Trust. which guarantees that the land will never be used for any other purpose."
