Ashley Allison: ‘If We Have $10 Billion to Spare, We Could Give People Health Care’

ALLISON: "I just think, you know, there are actions that happen in one moment and the repercussions don‘t surface until Donald Trump is not even the president. So I just — there‘s a longevity to this that is beyond the next three years of the Trump presidency. I do want to know where this money is coming from. I thought this was an America first president. I thought that — if we have $10 billion to spare, we could give people health care, we could end hunger in this country. We can‘t do that, but we can spend money on — you know, so it‘s like — it‘s the will. It‘s what you want it. It‘s like you want to do what you want to do, and you don‘t want to do what you don‘t want to do. But if we can find $10 billion to rebuild another country, why can‘t we actually start with rebuilding this country?"
