Trump: People Who Used to Hate Me Because Their Public Sector Jobs Got Cut Now Have Better Paying Private Sector Jobs

TRUMP: “The people of Georgia — the people of Georgia want to win. Last week it was announced that the United States added 172,000 jobs in the private sector. We reduced — you know, if I wanted that really great job numbers, don’t do any cutting in the public sector. You know, I cut off 300,000, 400,000 jobs in the public sector and then I add many more than that in the private sector. And, you know, those public-sector people that got cut, they hated me and now they love me because they’ve all gone out and gotten much better paying jobs in the private sector, working right here for you. But we’ve created more than 5,000 manufacturing jobs in Georgia alone. And we’ve had a very good relationship with Georgia. And as factory construction gets underway, we’ve created 70,000 new construction jobs right here. 70,000. And you know what they are building? Factories. Like this.”
