MCBRIDE: “Well, thank you so much for those incredibly kind words. It’s an honor to be here with Secretary Clinton. It’s an honor to be here with another trailblazer, speaker, America, Nancy Pelosi, and, of course, it’s an honor to be here with my fellow panelists and the mayor of Boston, Michelle well as well. One’s politicians start naming other politicians in a room. It never stops. There is no question in the United States, that, after decades of historic progress on gender equality writ large and specifically, more recently on gb tiki rights that we are facing, as you mentioned, a well organized, well, funded right, wing, regressive movement, and they really have placed trans people at the center of that effort. But we should be clear that the consequences of this anti trans effort, not only out of out of proximity but out of intentionally, will include consequences. As for women of all backgrounds, because, at the end of the day, trans phobia, homophobia, misogyny and sexism are all rooted in the same prejudice.”
