Sen. Mark Kelly Reacts to Judge Blocking Hegseth from Punishing Him Over ‘Illegal Orders’ Video
EXCERPT:
KELLY: “Manu, I have — so, I have said this a number of times. We know who this guy is. In 2016, Donald Trump, on the debate stage, he said that — he felt that the U.S. Military should be killing the family members of terrorists. That means having the U.S. Military go after women and children. Think about that for a second. Could you think about something that is truly less American and unlawful than that? And Bret Baier from Fox News said, well, that would never happen because the United States military would not follow that order. Do you know what Donald Trump said? He said the military would not refuse my orders. Emphasizing ‘my orders’. Later, as president, he said — he asked a question about shooting U.S. citizens who were protesters in the legs. Then, this time, in the last year, he said he wanted to send the U.S. Military into U.S. cities, to use these U.S. cities as training grounds. I spent 25 years in the United States Navy. I know what it means to train in the military. He implied that he was going to use U.S. citizens for the military to train on. That’s unconstitutional. That’s why we made this video.”
