Chris Hayes: D.C. Federal Grand Jury Has Declined to Indict Six Members of Congress Including Kelly, Slotkin on Seditious Conspiracy
TRANSCRIPT:
HAYES: "We've got some breaking news just now. A person familiar with the proceedings tells MS NOW that a federal grand jury in Washington, D.C. has declined to indict the six members of Congress, among them Senator Mark Kelly of Arizona, Senator Elissa Slotkin of Michigan, on charges of seditious conspiracy today, Tuesday. Remember, the Trump Administration was pursuing criminal charges against those members for participating in a video in which they told service members that they have a duty not to obey illegal orders, just telling them what the code says, what the Constitution requires. Apparently, Department of Justice tried to actually bring charges to a federal grand jury in D.C. and they went 0 for 6 today. Yet another refusal by grand jury members to railroad Donald Trump’s perceived enemies. This is a huge development in this story."
